We Build A Top 10 List Of Things Worth Reviving
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
We tried to make a simple nostalgia list and somehow ended up diagnosing modern life. We’re a family comedy podcast, so yes, we argue and roast each other, but the question is real: what did we lose while we gained convenience? Our Top 10 “things we’d bring back” starts with the obvious heavy hitter, common courtesy, and turns into a full-on debate about what public life feels like when everyone is distracted, impatient, and stuck in their own bubble.
From there, we get into the bigger cultural stuff: marriage, commitment, and why long-term partnerships don’t seem to earn the same respect they used to. We also talk about having kids and the way society frames family life as an inconvenience instead of something worth building around. If you’re searching for honest conversations about modern culture, family values, and why people feel more disconnected, you’ll hear plenty to agree with and plenty to argue about.
Then we go full nostalgia with purpose: real music with actual musicianship, story-driven horror like the Vincent Price era, and the kind of 2000s comedy movies that weren’t terrified of being funny. We miss malls that were real hangouts, Blockbuster nights that felt like an event, and even simpler phones that didn’t drag the entire internet into every moment. Plus: Pizza Rev, Taco Bell’s chicken crust taco, and other specific throwbacks that will either make you hungry or start a fight.
Listen, share it with someone who misses the same things, and leave us a review if you want more episodes like this. What’s the one thing you’d bring back first?
Fighting The Suck Since ©2026 Relatively Terrible
Cold Open And Bring-Back Picks
SPEAKER_02This world is a crazy place. Oh yeah. It is absolutely 100% F in the B. And while we still have time here, which is apparently God's will, we still have time here, there's certain things that our family would love to bring back to fight the suck of the time that we still have here. So today we are creating our top 10 things we want to bring back. Now these could be products, stores, food, what have you. I've never used that phrase ever, but I'm getting better as a podcaster, so I'm learning more words. Jackson, tell me your top five things you would bring back.
SPEAKER_03Marriage, having kids, common courtesy, joking around or sarcasm, real music. Calvin.
SPEAKER_04Uh Pizza Rev. Wallace Grommet The TV show. The Disney Store, uh, The Taco Bell, Chicken Crush, Taco, and I guess Common Courtesy.
SPEAKER_03I guess common courtesy.
SPEAKER_04I can live without it. Rachel?
SPEAKER_00Vincent Price-esque horror movies.
SPEAKER_02Okay. So old school horror.
SPEAKER_00Old school horror.
SPEAKER_02He's dead.
SPEAKER_00Shirley Jackson. The Mall. Boston Market.
SPEAKER_03Ooh.
SPEAKER_00And yeah, Common Courtesy.
SPEAKER_03Okay, well, the first two things you said, both of them are dead. Like, what you can't bring back.
SPEAKER_00I wanna Okay, I'm not saying I want to bring back Vincent Price, although I do, but I want that style of horror movie to come back in.
SPEAKER_03Okay.
SPEAKER_00And Shirley Jackson, I absolutely want to resurrect her.
SPEAKER_02Makes sense. You want old school horror and you want two zombies to come back. Hey, can I see your phone? Because I don't remember mine. Of course. Of course. Oh yeah. Of course. Dad's not prepared. Blockbuster. Common courtesy. Okay. 2000s era comedy movies. Yeah. The Back to the Future ride at Universal Orlando. And regular cell phones. I was gonna say regular ass cell phones, but I didn't want to have to censor myself. But I'm gonna go ahead and leave
Meet The Family And The Rules
SPEAKER_02it in there. I'm Josh.
SPEAKER_00I'm Rachel.
SPEAKER_02I'm COVID. I'm Jackson. And this is Relatively Terrible. I love you, but you're all terrible. Welcome back to the Relatively Terrible Podcast. We are the uploads of Fun Family, questioning culture with comedy and just enough dysfunction to feel normal. I'm going to again today we are doing our top 10 things we would bring back. And I would encourage you, wherever you're watching or listening to this, go to the comments somewhere and add something you would bring back because I'm sure you're gonna have a lot of different opinions than we do. Because this is going on the internet, and everyone's right and everyone's wrong at the same time. Here we go!
Real Music Versus Studio Tricks
SPEAKER_02Oh yeah. Starting it off, what are we going with real music? This is Jackson's, and I know what he's talking about, but would you like to explain what you mean by real music?
SPEAKER_03Less production, more pure musicianship. Okay.
SPEAKER_02A lot less auto-tune. Less auto-tune. Stuff that's too over.
SPEAKER_03Look, I understand that everything now has auto-tune. That's not even my problem. It's music that has no instruments. It's all made in the studio, and I hate that. That pisses me off. And let's not forget about AI. Oh, oh, yeah.
SPEAKER_02AI music can get Okay.
SPEAKER_03Jackson, where would you place it? I feel like there are bigger things we're gonna bring up. So I'll go with six. I'll say six. Six.
SPEAKER_00I can get more six.
SPEAKER_03I'm gonna say eight. Okay.
SPEAKER_02I mean, it's three to one, not three to one. You lost. No, hold on. Six, six, six, not the devil. That's eighteen plus eight is twenty-four divided by four. Six.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, it's six.
SPEAKER_00I think that's how that math always works. I say we go six.
SPEAKER_02I tried to do the average, it's six. Real music at six. Rach, keep us going.
Common Courtesy In Stores And Cars
SPEAKER_00They're all stuck together.
SPEAKER_02You're all stuck together.
SPEAKER_00Oh, common courtesy. Oh, one. Yeah, one.
SPEAKER_02One, one.
SPEAKER_00So I we all put this, but I kind of wonder, it's sort of self-explanatory, but I also wonder if any of us had specific things in mind. I was specifically thinking of a time when you would be out in public, specifically in stores, um, but also in the car where people were not on their phone, either on social media, on FaceTime, actually talking to somebody on speaker phone, like where you were at the store, and the other people in the store with you were also shopping, and it wasn't so really.
SPEAKER_02I was kind of thinking of the same thing, but not really. I wasn't thinking of the phone specifically. I'm just thinking of saying excuse me. Yes, holding the door for people, letting ladies go first. Sorry, but ladies first, and we should bring that back. Chivalry should not be dead. Also, let let old people go in front of you, like things like that, just common courtesy where you're being nice. It's come to the point where everyone wants everything their way, and they are just proving that time and time again out in public. In the car, it's even worse. Yeah, because it's harder to tell in the car if someone's being just a terrible driver or they're forgetting about common courtesy. In the store, when you're face to face and someone walks in front of you, and it's not just an adult, it's the the adult and the kid, because the adult is teaching the kid how to act. Our kids say thank you. Our kids say excuse me, our kids hold the door for people. What the hell is going on? I feel like the world would be such a better place if we just got back to a little bit of common courtesy. I'm I'm sorry, I'm I'm done now.
SPEAKER_00I feel like you guys are just watching me like it was a rant, but it was a good rant. I agree with all of it.
SPEAKER_02I'm sick of it.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, and it's funny to me, like how often people at the store, you guys are huge, and yet people almost walk into you every time. I don't, I don't understand. How do people not see you?
SPEAKER_02Because they don't care. And in my experience, everyone only has their self in mind.
SPEAKER_00Well, and in my experience, hot take, women are the worst. I still largely, when I am out in public, I still largely get men that will hold the door, that will allow me to go first, that say, excuse me. I personally experience a lot more common courtesy from men than I do women. I think women are out and out rude in society.
SPEAKER_02Yep.
SPEAKER_00My opinion. Okay. Dang. Are we putting this at number one?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, number one all the way with the bullet. Calvin, keep us going.
Marriage And The Fear Of Commitment
SPEAKER_02Okay. Take that hat. Take it, take it, take it.
SPEAKER_04Give me the Taco Bell chicken crush taco. Ten. Uh marriage. Seven?
SPEAKER_00I can't believe the nearly 18-year-old had this on his list. What do you mean?
SPEAKER_03Because no one wants to get married anymore.
SPEAKER_00It's true.
SPEAKER_03No one wants to get married. Everyone wants to just be single and do what they're gonna do, and no one wants to get married, and that I hate that. Marriage, I know people still get married, but it's definitely kind of more frowned upon.
SPEAKER_02Also, like the way we look at marriage as a society. I wish it would come back like to hear when you know, if we tell people that we've been married 22 years, coming up next year, 22 years, no one cares anymore. It's not, it's not, it's it's like used to be like, oh my gosh, that's really amazing. How did you guys accomplish that? And now it's like eh.
SPEAKER_00Well, and even 20 plus years ago when we got engaged, I had people say to me, You don't want to get married yet. You're too young. Like I'm supposed to go out and whore it up first.
SPEAKER_02Uh jackpot, right?
SPEAKER_00Um I I think it's a reflection of society at large. I think there's many reasons why people don't want to get married, but to me, one of the bigger issues with it is just people are unwilling to commit to anything.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_00And it's just that they want that capability to the minute I'm unhappy, I want to cut and run.
SPEAKER_02That commitment always has an expiration date.
SPEAKER_00It does. And, you know, again, we're we're very much a society driven by our feelings, and I just want to feel a certain way, and we all know feelings and emotions change. And frankly, I think, especially if you're living together, I don't think breaking up is necessarily any easier to do if you're not married. But I think it's just, again, I think it's just that overall lack of commitment. And I think we see that in many facets of society, but I think it's most exemplified and not what we did.
SPEAKER_03I'm kind of sick of this whole single culture, do what you're gonna do. I'm tired of it. Uh, I would I'm gonna say five. I'm gonna go seven.
SPEAKER_00I was thinking seven or eight.
SPEAKER_03I think seven. I think seven. That's fine.
SPEAKER_00Seven? Okay. Maui!
SPEAKER_02But you're not gonna do the whole math thing? I don't need to. No, I'm fine. Because I actually did it in my head while I was thinking, and I was like, don't do it again. Cap. I did. It would have came up the same.
SPEAKER_03Oh, it took two.
SPEAKER_00All right, good.
SPEAKER_03Would you get, would you get? Oh.
Story-First Horror And Vincent Price
SPEAKER_03Vincent Price type horror movies.
SPEAKER_00Eight. Listen, wait, hold on, Calvin, do you even know?
SPEAKER_02Please don't shout out numbers. Can you tell us why you say eight?
SPEAKER_04Because I just don't care. Okay, but what what is what is she even talking about? Like Vincent Price type horror movies. What is that? I don't know.
SPEAKER_00I don't even know really how to describe it. I almost put B movies, but honestly, a lot of the Vincent Price movies were not B movies. But I'm more about I especially I do love black and white movies, but but I just enjoy movies and horror in particular where it's much more focused on the story and it's not like a blood and guts kind of thing. Think of like backrooms. I mean, granted, that wasn't, I wouldn't say it's a Vincent Price style, but I want more of that kind of thing. And the Vincent Price ones, like, there was just a lot of charm, and and he just worked with a lot of the same people over and over again. There was a genre, not a genre, but there was a clique of people in that time that always worked together. They showed up in the same movies, they weren't particularly scary. Some of them were better than others, some of them were not very good. But it was just, you know what you were gonna get with a Vincent Price movie.
SPEAKER_03Anytime I watched a Vincent Price movie, though, it's not because of the type of movie it is, it's because of him.
SPEAKER_00Yes.
SPEAKER_03It's because of him.
SPEAKER_00And it's sort of to me, saying like a Vincent Price movie, it's like saying an Adam Sandler movie. You know what I mean when I say an Adam Sandler movie, right? Like to me, Vincent Price, it was there, it was of a time and of a particular style. And he did more than horror, but I just it was That's what he was known for. That's what he was known for.
SPEAKER_02Start us off. Where would you put it, Rach?
SPEAKER_00I I would put eight. I think eight makes sense.
SPEAKER_02Eight. It's not top five.
SPEAKER_03Eight's fine. Okay.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, it's not top five, but it's something that, like, if there were more movies like that coming into the theater, I would go.
SPEAKER_03More story-driven.
SPEAKER_00I would go.
SPEAKER_02Well, with things like Weapons and Barbarian and that guy who's doing that, Krieger, I think is his last name, the director, he's doing a Resident Evil that looks pretty good too. Too bad the games suck. Oh, come. Okay, here we go. We're not gonna go into trouble.
SPEAKER_03We don't need our comments section hating us.
SPEAKER_02Oh, we're already getting in trouble for this
2000s Comedy Movies Worth Saving
SPEAKER_02one. Okay, we are we have 2000s era comedy movies.
SPEAKER_00Three.
SPEAKER_02Three of five. Listen, so I'm talking like stepbrothers, super bad, knocked up, basically anything Judd Apatow did. Role models. Judd Apatau, uh Napoleon Dynamite. A little bit of Adam Sandler stuff, Napoleon Dynamite, bench warmers, just Orange County. Yes, good, funny comedy movies. We're so scared to do it anymore because it's not a remake, it's not a sequel, and it's not something this woke culture will be like, oh, I can't believe you did that. Just like the new scary movie. I I will caveat by saying I haven't seen it, but I can tell they went way overboard, and I don't even think that it was funny. Do you know what I mean? It was like, we just want to prove that we can do this instead of making it funny.
SPEAKER_00Well, and in the same way where I think we're lacking today in sort of like a horror icon like Vincent Price, I would love to. Where are our young Michael Seras and Jack Blacks and Steve Zons and you know, a lot like Seth Rogan? Like, where is where are those types of people for this generation? If they're out there, I don't know who they are. Yeah, they're not making movies like that at all. And I just again, 2000s style comedy, it was you had this core group of people that frequently showed up in a lot of them. It was a particular style movie and easy watching, always funny.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_02So where would you guys put this?
SPEAKER_03Uh, it's pretty important. People weren't as offended by comedy in the early 2000s, so we need to bring that back. I'll I'm gonna be with Calvin. It deserves top five. I'll I'll say five. Yeah, five. Ten and six divided by four is four.
SPEAKER_02Four. So four. So four. Put it at four. It works, people. The math is clicking now. Here we go. Clicky clicky. That's what we call the median, I think. The average. Yeah, it's the average. Something should be I think average is a good thing. Something.
SPEAKER_00It's the math thing.
SPEAKER_02Math. It's for kids.
SPEAKER_00Okay. What? I got Shirley Jackson.
SPEAKER_02Ah, nine. So Shirley Jackson.
SPEAKER_00So if you don't know, Shirley Jackson is an author, I know that. Was an author. Uh, she's most most kids in high school have to read The Lottery. What is she what is your deal with?
SPEAKER_04He's just disappointed. Oh my god.
SPEAKER_00She she wrote several novels to um nonfiction and a slew of short stories. And for her time, she was very innovative. She was writing these weird, creepy stories that were actually getting published in women's magazines, which, like, and the amount of hate mail that woman received when the lottery was was published really interesting. And there's a very famous uh reply that she sent to a lady who was very angry with her. And she's how did she put it? She said, If you don't like my peaches, don't shake my tree.
SPEAKER_02Like that should be on a t-shirt.
SPEAKER_00She died in 1965 when she was only 48 years old. She went to take a nap on a Sunday afternoon and didn't wake up.
SPEAKER_02That is the way to go.
SPEAKER_00It is the way to go. I envy her that, but being only 48 years old, and they're just I would bring her. I would number one, she's somebody I would really love to talk to. I think she was probably extremely interesting. She also had a slew of kids.
SPEAKER_02Well, I don't think that the boys and I have anything. Yeah, no, no, no, that's so.
SPEAKER_00I'm gonna I would say 10.
SPEAKER_02I read the lottery. I can go with 10.
SPEAKER_00I realize this is this is a purely me thing, but I was gonna say 10.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_00I would love to bring her back and just if she would write more. She could have, she probably would have written so much more if she had lived another 30, 40 years.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. So Shirley Jackson at 10. And if you don't know who Shirley Jackson is, you have something cool out there. You might have heard of it called Google. Check
The Mall As A Lost Hangout
SPEAKER_02it out.
SPEAKER_03All right. Don't look at Wikipedia.
SPEAKER_04Come on, the mall. Ooh, three.
SPEAKER_03Three. I'll say this. I work in a mall and it's going downhill. It's going, it's going, even on Saturday when it's our busiest day, it's like, where is everybody? And there's not much the mall provides. Can be that. Oh, no. There's not much the mall provides anymore in terms of entertainment. We have a movie theater, a record shop, a hot topic, and boxed lunch. And that's it. Once you're done with those things, and most of the time you're not going to be going to the movies every time you go to the mall. You'll go into the record shop, hot topic, box lunch, and then you're done. Yeah. And that and that's yeah.
SPEAKER_00Unless you're there to shop at Dillard's.
SPEAKER_02So really we're talking about bringing back the old school mall. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Disney store in an FYE and actually a good food court with Stancape.
SPEAKER_02Your parents could literally drop you off with money, like 20 bucks. You could see a movie, eat, and buy something for 20 bucks.
SPEAKER_00Let's bring that back. The mall used to typically have a bookstore. Um, then there.
SPEAKER_04So that's why I went downhill.
SPEAKER_00They're all closed now, Calvin. Shut up. Oh, dude.
SPEAKER_02I would go five. I would say three, so I think you're outnumbered. Okay. Three, the mall. There's always the bonus round where you can make crazy changes.
SPEAKER_00It used to be, I think you, Jackson, hit the nail on the head with like, there's just not much entertaining at the mall anymore. There's just not a lot to do there.
SPEAKER_03No.
SPEAKER_00And that's what I miss.
SPEAKER_03What you're gonna get, what you're gonna get? Boston Market. Ooh.
SPEAKER_00Another one of mine. Nine. Because we don't know what that is.
SPEAKER_02Yes, you do. No, we know. When they were kids and we lived in Ohio.
SPEAKER_00When he was one.
SPEAKER_02When he was one like, I'm gonna remember that. Come on, dude. Listen, now this place might still be other places. I don't know. No, they closed down for sure.
SPEAKER_00They went bankrupt. Okay. There might be one or two left, maybe. But it by and large closed.
SPEAKER_02Was rotisserie chicken. It had the best taste ever, some of the best sides, and we used to get it all the time with family and watch a basketball game or a football game. Not that we were into that. You guys know us.
SPEAKER_00Not football, but we watched it.
SPEAKER_02Basketball.
SPEAKER_00It was the calves. Yes. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02And we loved that. That was that was it's cool when you get together with family and casually watch a game, not sit there and bed on a game and then break your TV. And then worry about losing a kidney afterwards. You know what I'm saying? That kind of watching sports, that's not good. But I'd love to bring it back because it was so tasty.
SPEAKER_00It was so tasty, and it was it was, I don't want to say it was healthy. No, it wasn't, but it wasn't fried food. And yeah, it was. I I missed there's many times where it's like, oh man, I don't want to cook. I wish we could just get like some Boston market and just you know, but nine.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, nine, yeah. Boston market at nine. Here we go. We got two left, five and two. Five and two, okay.
SPEAKER_00Five and two.
SPEAKER_02Come on, Taco Bell chicken crush, taco belly. Regular cell phones, too.
Phones Pizza Rev And Blockbuster
SPEAKER_02Listen, I'm talking about I want a phone that will just call and receive calls, and I guess text messaging.
SPEAKER_04That would be fine. So you know what my problem with that is? I hate phone calls. I'd rather do FaceTime. Okay. What about just texting then?
SPEAKER_00GPS also. I need the GPS.
SPEAKER_02Okay, you're ruining regular cell phones. It's got GPS.
SPEAKER_00I need the GPS. All phones have GPS. I want the directions on my phone. Again, we've talked about this many times.
SPEAKER_04Wait a second. Why do you think GPS makes you old? We're calling it a GPS anymore.
SPEAKER_00That's what it is. Okay, man. What do you call it?
SPEAKER_04I don't know.
SPEAKER_00Maps?
SPEAKER_04Yeah, directions. Apple maps.
SPEAKER_00Okay.
SPEAKER_04Apple maps.
SPEAKER_00That's what it's labeled as. Okay. Fair. Whoa. It's still GPS.
SPEAKER_02No, it's not fair. F that.
SPEAKER_00I would put I would put regular cell phones at five. I completely agree with a lot of your sentiment and not having the internet on your phone many times, not even social media on your phone. I get all of that. But I'm kind of with Calvin. Like, if you call, it's like, why wasn't this a text? I don't really want to talk to you.
SPEAKER_04And but FaceTime, sure. Like.
SPEAKER_00FaceTime is okay. Even so, don't love it. Again, text me.
SPEAKER_02Okay, put it at five. Regular cell phones. We got one. So this next one, Rachel picks, is gonna be number two. What'd you get?
SPEAKER_00Pizza Rev. Ooh! You need to explain what pizza rev is.
SPEAKER_04Pizza Rev was a great pizza restaurant in Memphis. They sadly shut down. We don't know why, but you could go there and get a personal sized pizza with any toppings or sauce, and it was just so good.
SPEAKER_03It was basically an Italian Chipotle. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00It was. It was. And there were three of that. And then they shut down.
SPEAKER_02They were all great, though. And see, there's another place here in Memphis called Pyrose, which is the same concept. You go up to the Rash.
SPEAKER_03Well, what was that? What? They can up theirs. Don't no, don't do that.
SPEAKER_04That's not what you think it means. Sounds like a gang sign. No, it's not a gang sign! What's called playoff? Oh no! What's called playoff? Oh, does that mean? Oh no, no. It's a Christian gang. Oh, lacrosse! Oh, that's great.
SPEAKER_05Jesus for life.
SPEAKER_00Are you gonna edit this out or making a short clip? I don't know what you're doing.
SPEAKER_02Of course I'm not making a freaking short clip. Are you kidding me right now? Plus, no one out no one who's listening knows what the f is going on right now. They're like, oh, oh! Anyways, what were we talking about?
SPEAKER_00You were you were explaining that there's a there's a there's a chain here called Pyros.
SPEAKER_02And because Memphis loves mediocrity, yes they do, I'll say it. They want they pyros beat them out.
SPEAKER_04I remember going there and we got the kids' pizza. At Pyros. This big.
SPEAKER_00We need to go back. I do think we need to give Pyros another chance. No. It's been like eight or nine years since we've been there.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, that says enough.
SPEAKER_00I think, but Pizza Rev was t not. And it was it was fairly priced. It wasn't very expensive.
SPEAKER_03I got the same thing every time. It was the spicy marinara sauce, cheese, pepperoni, and pineapple. You did do pineapple. I did do pineapple. I remember my freaking order. Okay.
SPEAKER_02While we talk about the honorable mentions, y'all should just argue it out whether pineapple belongs on pizza in whatever comment section you're in. Let's go. And we'll be right back after these short messages.
Bonus Round Final List And Rants
SPEAKER_02Honorable mentions. Having kids. Blockbuster. Joking around slash sarcasm. Basically, everything you would see in a 2000s area era comedy. Area comedy, dumbass. Wallace and Gromit TV show. I don't know why you had to put TV show.
SPEAKER_00Because they're still making moves. Well, they made a movie not that long ago.
SPEAKER_02Back to the Future, the ride at Universal Orlando. Fun fact, we've never ridden it, but I've seen the footage. Oh, you wrote it.
SPEAKER_00I did. That's not fair.
SPEAKER_02Bring it back, Universal.
SPEAKER_00The one I really wish they would bring back Universal is Jaws. I did not get to go on Jaws.
SPEAKER_03Jaws, that would be so cool.
SPEAKER_00And I it was supposed to be very good.
SPEAKER_03But they're putting in another Fast and Furious ride. Oh, you've gotta be kidding me.
SPEAKER_02Speaking of Jaws, Taco Bell Chicken Crust Taco. Alright, let's go to the bonus round. Jackson, why don't you start us off this time?
SPEAKER_04Oh, let me see. Start of us. Why? Star of us? Star of us? Starts off. It is hereditary.
SPEAKER_03Talking very badly. I am doing so. Getting rid of regular cell phones, because that is stupid. No offense. And I'm gonna put having kids. Oh lord. Oh my god.
SPEAKER_00Are you worried about like population?
SPEAKER_03No, I'm worried about people just seeing kids as inconveniences.
SPEAKER_02This is like the most selfish answer anyone would ever put on a list because he just wants to make sure he has sex at some point. Wow.
SPEAKER_00Marriage and kids.
SPEAKER_02He's like, marriage kids.
SPEAKER_03I'm covered. I don't know about you guys. Okay. That's the way you see our youth. That's terrible.
SPEAKER_04Yep. Hmm. No, actually, just you. I'll get rid of the Vincent Price. Horrify.
SPEAKER_05Oh!
SPEAKER_04Damn! Chicken crush style.
SPEAKER_05Oh my gosh!
unknownOh my god.
SPEAKER_04That is Calvin Bett is the same.
SPEAKER_00My son replaced Vincent Price with Taco Bell.
SPEAKER_02Oh, she is never making cutlets again.
SPEAKER_00You replaced Vincent Price style movies with Taco Bell.
SPEAKER_02This is awkward.
SPEAKER_04If you guys don't know what the chicken crush taco is.
SPEAKER_00No one does, dude.
SPEAKER_04Are you serious? I do. So I am someone. Okay, what was the rest of that statement? It was a taco, but the the shell was chicken. And then in it it was grill uh more chicken with cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, and then a sauce and it was so good. Great. So I had to add that on the list.
SPEAKER_03That's 10 seconds of my life. I'm never gonna.
SPEAKER_04Okay, Rachel, it's your turn. Here you go, Mom.
SPEAKER_00I'm so distraught right now. Are we able to put things back on that someone else took off?
SPEAKER_02Nope. No.
SPEAKER_00I don't think I think we are.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, we are. Yeah, you can. You can. You just can't mess with like where it was.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, yeah, yeah. No, I get it. Well then I'm going to, I have to have, I'm gonna get rid of Boston Market because that's Okay. And I'm I'm adding the Vincent Price movies back on.
SPEAKER_02Very good. Okay, I'm getting rid of Pizza Revs? Of Pizza Revs.
SPEAKER_00What? It doesn't belong in number two.
SPEAKER_02No.
SPEAKER_00Okay, fine, but what do you mean get rid of it? Back to the Future ride?
SPEAKER_02No. Blockbuster.
SPEAKER_00Oh listen.
SPEAKER_02No. I think at some point I don't think renting movies will ever come back. But physical media is coming back in full effect, and I think Blockbuster will eventually come back as a store. No.
SPEAKER_00Some version of it. I wouldn't be surprised.
SPEAKER_02Jackson, if the place that you're working at is still there tomorrow, Blockbuster has a chance.
SPEAKER_03What? Oh yeah, look at this VHS tape. But we don't have anything to play it with.
SPEAKER_05No one said VHS!
SPEAKER_03We gotta get the CD player out now.
SPEAKER_04Get the DVD player out. Come on. Okay, P2F not being a number two. Fine, you could have switched it, but we're placing it with Blue Buster color.
SPEAKER_02You've never been to Blockbuster. You don't know what it is. I would never You do not shut up on talking. You do not know what it is to make it a Blockbuster night. That should be a new shirt. You do not know what it is to make it a Blockbuster night.
SPEAKER_00Blockbuster was part of our first date.
SPEAKER_02Yep. Hell yeah.
SPEAKER_00I don't remember what we rented.
SPEAKER_02Because we didn't watch it.
SPEAKER_00Not true. Not true. It was our first date!
SPEAKER_02We definitely made out.
SPEAKER_00No, we didn't, not on our first date. Shut up. I'm pretty sure we did. No, we didn't.
SPEAKER_02So what's the final list? So here's our final top ten list of things we would like to bring back. Number 10, Shirley Jackson. I don't know who she is either. Nine, Vincent Price movies. Another guy you're gonna have to Google. Eight, chicken crust tacos. Yeah! Another thing you're gonna have to Google. Seven, marriage. Gen Alpha, you're probably gonna have to Google this too. Real music. Okay. Five, having kids. Gen Alpha, Gen Z, you're gonna have to Google this. Four, 2000's era comedies. Three, the mall. Two, Blockbuster. Again, you might have to Google that. One, common courtesy, and we're not talking about the album by a day to remember. We're just talking about common courtesy.
SPEAKER_04Because that's what people think of.
SPEAKER_02Some people might. There's a lot of emo people who watch this. I think instead of saying what is good this week, I think we should each say one thing that we would like to get rid of right now in
What We'd Get Rid Of Today
SPEAKER_02this world. Jackson start. Go ho DVDs.
SPEAKER_03Okay. World hunger. Okay.
SPEAKER_05Hey, hey, what do you mean you're kidding me?
SPEAKER_00What do you mean you're kidding? Holy crap!
SPEAKER_05Yay!
SPEAKER_00Okay, it's understood that we would get rid of all wars and orphans. But it sounds like all our save all the orphans. Cut that out. Don't get don't have me saying, well, we're gonna get rid of the orphans. That's not what I meant.
SPEAKER_03Oh my god. We're getting rid of the orphans. We're gonna find them good homes. With a big backyard and a water bowl and a water bowl?
SPEAKER_00Is it a swimming pool? Alright, cut all that out. Okay, why would I cut that out?
SPEAKER_02Because this is a family conversation about what we would get rid of in the world, and the first thing we say is world hunger. No, just kidding. I'd get rid of orphans.
SPEAKER_03Actually, world hunger is pretty good.
SPEAKER_04Great, Calvin, what would you get rid of? Uh people walking in public with earbuds on. Got it, Rich. What would you get rid of?
SPEAKER_00Kardashians?
SPEAKER_05Oh, dude.
SPEAKER_03Oh my god.
SPEAKER_00Is Kanye West one of them? Sure, we'll lump him in. Okay. Anyone tangential to the Kardashians?
SPEAKER_03If you have put your privates in eat any of them, you are damned.
SPEAKER_04Put your privates in what? That's me like Kardashians! Oh my god! That's what the hell else would they be putting their privates in? Who says private, you old man? Privates? Fucking their dicks. What do you want me? No, that's worse! Why would you say privates?
SPEAKER_02It's my private pot. Like, that's not something an old man would say. That's something like a two-year-old is taught. Okay, for any of you famous guys out there.
SPEAKER_03To any of the famous guys that have Oh, Kardashian, you're damned. That's you're cursed. You're cursed. There's nothing that looks like this.
SPEAKER_00Okay, can we move on? What would you get rid of?
SPEAKER_02What would I get like this? I would what would I get rid of? What would I get rid of? People doing this! No way can see you!
unknownOkay.
SPEAKER_02I would of course I would get rid of racism. I'm so, first of all, I think racism is horrible. Except for comedy. It's not racism! We just throw on like I want to get rid of racism, eradicate it, eradicate all hate and racism. And also eradicate us using words just for shock value, like racist. Everything's racist. And that's so stupid.
SPEAKER_03But if we don't get rid of racism, can we give white people their own version of the N-word, please? That's already a fair. Oh, it is.
SPEAKER_04What is the white cracker and that's up, my card? And that. And that. Because you know why it ends with er. Oh And that is relatively terrible. Crack is current. And crackers right. And crack is right.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, crackers. That's not why! But if it ended with an A, it would be inappropriate. Cracker, cracker, but we can't say that.
