A Top 10 TV shows list should be easy, right up until four people try to agree on one ranking without knowing what show is coming next. We dump our picks into a hat, draw them blind, and have to place each series on the board on the spot. That one rule turns a fun idea into a full-on family debate about what “best” even means. 

We get into comfort rewatches like Brooklyn Nine-Nine, long-running animated staples like Bob’s Burgers, and the risk of ranking an unfinished prestige drama like Severance. Then we hit the heavyweights and the lightning rods: Freaks and Geeks and its one-season legacy, the pull of X-Men ’97, and why Better Call Saul and Breaking Bad keep showing up when people talk about elite TV writing and character work. 

After we reveal the first draft of the list, we add a bonus round where each of us gets one move.
